Sharmila Mahesh is the youngest daughter of Balakrishnan Achari and Ratnakumari Ammal of 'Thrikkunnath House', Manaloor, Thrissur.

In the year 1996 she married Mahesh Mangalat and became a part of the mangalat family.

A Post graduate in Economics, she has worked as a teacher for four years. Presently, leading life as a housewife. She has two brothers and sisters.
